This ceramic coaster is crafted by local women’s groups in Palestine that strive to alleviate local poverty and unemployment, whilst sustaining Palestinian handicraft workmanship traditions. 

With buying a traditional Palestinian ceramic you support the local Palestinians and help to keep the tradition alive.The process of ceramic creation is an ancient technique, is the same as the one used by the ancient Phoenicians, though archaeologists and historians agree that this technique was not common until the last few centuries . Instead of sand, recycled material is the primary base used to make these ceramics. When buying these ceramic you not only support the local communities but you are also making an environmentally-friendly choice.
