Extra Wide variant of the Mid Weight Calico. The ubiquitous backing to make quilting projects easy. Untreated and totally natural so ideal for dyeing. Very receptive to fabric dyes & ideal base fabric for larger textile projects, wall hangings, embroideries etc.

Calico is the staple 100% cotton fabric for all quilting, embroidery and creative projects. Its natural properties make it ideal for dyeing as well as being used in conjunction with other natural fabrics as part of larger textile projects such as quilts, wall hangings etc.

For most calico weights we recommend allowing for a slight initial shrinkage and so a pre wash is ideal.
